Grant Writing Tips: Identifying Funding Opportunities

Are you interested in securing a grant for your small business ? I know finding funds can be a challenge, but don't worry. I have a few tips I think will help you find what you are seeking. So let’s get started.  Tip #1: Start small : Check local resources for grants in your area such as your local and state government (e.g. economic development offices) who may offer small business grants. Federal grants can be located at grants.gov Tip #2:  Network: Check associations such as the National Association for the Self Employed, where you can find small business grants. Tip #3: Get specific: Some Funders give money to specific communities such as women or minorities. If you fall into a specific demographic, you may want to search there. Tip #4: Use social media: Some social media platforms such as twitter and LinkedIn are great for networking.
